Maze Solving bot

 

A Maze solving bot is one that is based on the principle of a line follower. It senses its direction of movement by using ir sensors and traverses a maze on the floor. We implemented a right-first algorithm to traverse a maze. We made the complete hardware on a bread board and later soldered it on a PCB. Acrylic sheet was used to construct the chasis. Arduino software was used as the coding platform.

 

The task involved two stages:

In the first stage the bot traverses the full path taking all possible directions of the maze. Later on it processes its path and stores them as a String.

 

After processing of the string it now comutes the shortest path to complete the maze and traverses the shorts possible path based on right first logic.
